Whilst researching ways to photograph my guitar, I found an photographer called Charles L Webster who has an entire website dedicated to guitar photography. Here are some examples of his work:

Looking at Charles L Websters work has provided me with some inspiration for this project. I need to think a bit more outside the box and chose some interesting angles to work with.
